Checkoffs:
Students must perform each assigned checkoff according to the "Grading Criteria Form" for that checkoff which is found in the modules. Patient teaching, the assessment, and the verbal report all must be included in the checkoff. The student must submit a video of them performing the checkoff by the due date.
Video Submission Checkoffs:
The student must submit their assessment check-off video in Blackboard by the due date. It is the student's responsibility to make sure the video loads and that it is viewable. If the student tries to load the video at 11:59pm on the date that it is due, the video may not load by the time it is due and will be considered late.
Students must be able to be seen and heard at all times while giving patient instructions, performing the assessment, and while giving the verbal report. If the student is unable to be seen and heard appropriately, they will receive a zero for the checkoff. (Please keep in mind the students face and body must be seen at all times).
Students will also receive a zero if the lighting is not adequate, if the student appears to be reading off of cue cards, notes, etc. for any part of the instructions, education, assessment, and report, or if the video is not viewable by the instructor(s). The checkoff must be performed on another person.
The front camera should not be used when filming the assessment check-off. It causes a mirror image that makes the assessment look like it is being performed on the opposite side of the body, and the student will receive a zero on their assessment.
The student should not stop the video during the assessment and restart the video to finish the assessment. The student will receive a zero. If the student needs to stop filming, they must restart the video at the beginning of the assessment.

National Health Issues Discussion Board Assignment:
The Discussion Board Assignment is designed to help students communicate critical thinking skills as evidenced by the ability to analyze facts, synthesize factual information, and evaluate opinions in light of the facts presented throughout this course. The discussion board assignment will have specific opening and closing dates and times. The student will be expected to post an initial response to the discussion board assignment topic. In addition, you must read and post a substantial response to one other student's post to receive complete credit for the assignment. Discussions must be completed by the due date and submitted through Blackboard to receive credit. Late submissions will not be graded. There are no provisions for late or make-up discussion board assignments. The Discussion Board Assignment will count as 5% of the course grade.
