- PHRA 1445 Intravenous Admixture and Sterile Compounding (51.0805) 4-2-4
The process of compounding sterile preparations and aseptic technique within legal and regulatory guidelines specified by USP <797> standards. This course provides technician-focused instruction and training for the successful production of sterile parenteral preparations, a major responsibility of the pharmacy technician in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home healthcare. This course includes the learning modules 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 12-14, 17, 20-23, 25-26, 28, 30, 35, 41, and 44-45 from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ Module Curriculum for Pharmacy Technician Training (Third Edition). Pre-requisite: PHRA 1301, PHRA 1305, PHRA 1313, and PHRA 2260. Co-requisite: PHRA 1304, PHRA 1309, PHRA 1349, and PHRA 2361. TEC.
